How will this Effect Existing Customers?
Will these changes effect my current plan?
These changes will not effect your current plan. If you had already purchased Liaison International prior to December 31, 2008, the previous policy details will be honored. The only case that might affect you is if you were planning on renewing your coverage. See below for more details.
Can I renew my existing policy after 12/31/2008.
It depends. If your policy number begins with 8VLN, then you can renew your policy. If your policy number begins with 8VN, then you cannot renew your plan. And in either case if the plan durations is more then 6 months, it will no longer be renewable.
For those who can not renew, you will have to fill out a new application and repurchase the plan. And if your current plan has gone beyond 6 months of duration, you will have to purchase another plan altogether. We recommend Liaison Worldwide which is a plan similar to the old Liaison International coverage and features.
I've already had my plan for more then 6 months and was planning on renewing it for longer. Will I still be able to renew the plan?
No. You will need to purchase another plan besides Liaison International. We recommend Liaison Worldwide which is a plan similar to the old Liaison International coverage and features.
When I renew the plan after 12/31/08 will I be charged the new rates or the old rates, since my original date of purchase was before Dec 31?
No. There will be no changes in the policy details or rates.
Will existing policy holders keep receiving the renewal reminder?
Yes.
Can I change my existing plan to Option 2 without canceling the policy?
No. You will have to cancel the existing policy and repurchase the plan with the Option 2 coverage.
I liked the old Liaison International plan and want a plan with similar coverage and features. Is there another plan with similar coverage as the older Liaison International?
Yes. Liaison Worldwide is good option for you. It's from the same company, has 80 to 100% coverage, and can be purchased up to 3 years. See more details on Liaison Worldwide. Click here to get a quote.
If I cancel my plan after Dec 31 and after the rates have been reduced, will my refund be honored as per the old rates?
Yes.
What if I sent a Paper-Application after the cut-off date (1st JAN) will you still honor that application on the old Liaison International terms ?
Yes, it will be honored.
